The most common chords often used by so-called singer-songwriters are the open chords. These chords are, however, common in lot’s of styles. They are known as open chords because some of the strings are played without a finger placed on them.
Finger picking is a technique of playing the classical guitar where you use your thumb plus at least one added finger to pick or pluck notes, using your fingernails, finger picks or else fingertips. Various really gifted players be capable of use all 5 fingers on top of their picking hand, but most guitar players only use 4 fingers with use their pinky finger as being a support in the acoustic guitar.
